Since 1999, artist Nick Griego has constantly redefined his style of urbanized art. He is an artist with a keen eye for this world that surrounds him. He has been involved in several shows in Spokane Washington and Albuquerque New Mexico. He has been greatly influenced by High Renaissance art such as the works of Leonardo Da Vinci as well as newer urban artists such as Sam Flores, Mike Giant, Justin Bua and Kinsey.
Growing up in 1980’s Seattle Washington, he quickly found his soundtrack to life. Hip-Hop had spoke loud and clear to Nick and influenced his work and strokes in many different ways, mainly in the same fluidity of the rhythms of its music.
Nick’s slightly skewed view of reality tends to clash and collide with his imagination on all of his canvases, some which include walls in which the graffiti skills he developed in Albuquerque New Mexico become fluent.
Since Graduating from the University of New Mexico he continues to immerse himself in scenes, atmospheres, and situations in which he can transform into art no matter where he is. Albuquerque gave him a whole new influence, one which allows him to process and attack his artistic views that were in his mind and sketch books. He discovered an outlet through these styles and observations he has made as well as the experiences that have shaped his life.
Nick’s collective works are like a time line that which refuses to stop evolving. His style becomes more intriguing with each new canvas and wall he paints. A well known up and coming artist with a fresh grasp on the art world who can be appreciated people of all colors and ages.
